Stockyards Rodeo (Fort Worth)

Every year in January we sit down and decide our goals for the new year as a family. One of my goals was to take my son (Kristopher) to an indoor arena Rodeo. I had been wanting to do this since he was a small boy. We bought tickets online through facebook and waited five long months to go. It turns out it was perfect timing since Kristopher just received his driver's permit and was able to drive. (he loves to drive)

The sound of the arena took me back to when I was a boy. You could hear the echo of the announcer circling the arena walls and see the spotlight moving around the arena. I looked at my son and said "this is awesome". The old arena had a nostalgic smell to it and we walked around to view the memorabilia while reading some history on the walls. I can't believe I had never been here before. At least, I didn't remember ever coming inside this place. What a historic landmark

This was my first attempt at fast motion photography. Although the photos didn't turn out like I wanted them to, I think I was able to catch some amazing photos.
